What's your favorite high school memory?

A lot of people will agree when I say that high school life is probably the most remarkable time of our life. It was the age of awakening for all of us. Sabi nga ni Joanne, a lot of firsts happened back in high school. Some were good memories, some were forgettable, pero nevertheless, at least we learned.., (may natutuhan nga ba?) Namiss ko tuloy si Aling Elong saka si Mr. Dela Pena. Musta na ba si Aling Eppie? Open pa ba ung carenderia nya? Napansin nyo pa ba yung Conrad's barber shop sa gilid ng school? Bukas pa ba yung Miranda store saka ung tindahan ni Mang Predo don sa dulo ng eskinita? Suki ako don kasi don ako lagi bumibili ng buckle ng belt ko pang CAT.., hehehe. Miss ko na din kumanta ng Lupang Hinirang na ako lang mag isa pag late ako. (The title of that song is Lupang Hinirang not Bayang Magiliw!!! remember? hehehe..,)

And that's how I convinced Joanne to be our first featured batchmate for our web page. Madami na ko sinabihan about this plan (4 sila lahat). Yung iba nahihiya, ayaw magpa interview. Yung iba dedma lng (Pero di ko kayo tatantanan hanggat di kayo pumapayag.., hehehe) Pero si Joanne game na game!!! She's always on the go. A very bubbly, energetic and warm person. She never hesitated to initiate. Characteristics that were also recognized by the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group where she has been working for ten years now. "Feb 1997 nag OJT ako as PA sa SNN (now ANC). First job after graduation. OJT tapos dire-diretso na". Now all her efforts have paid off. She's now the Programming & Production specialist of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group. "Our division handles all the regional stations of abs-cbn and our department handles the tv production & programming stuff . Enjoy naman, otherwise di ako tatagal dun. I get to go to the regional stations and do hands on tv production work". Whats d best part of your job? "Hmmmm... siguro yung trips sa probinsya... tsaka i get to watch tv the whole day. San bang opisina merong ganun?". Kahit ba Kapamilya ka nanonood ka din ng mga Kapuso shows? "Minsan, yup nanood kami ng kapuso..."

So what's new with Joanne? "I just got bigger and better... hahaha! taray!". That's the spirit! Joanne has now emerged to be a more mature and affirmative person. Dahil kaya sa lovelife? So musta naman kayo ni Yok (Augustus Castaneda)? "Okay naman kami. Happy naman ako, ewan ko lang sa kanya! hahaha!" I'm sure many of our batchmates would be surprised to know na kayo na. How did it start? Were you an item back in high school?

Their story started when Joanne saw Yok on friendster. She added him as one of her friends and Yok accepted. Then there were constant communication between them. "Salamat sa 24/7 call & text unlimited ng sun! hahaha!" Their relationship has now lasted for eight months and Joanne has nothing but sweet words for Augustus. "Mabait sya, as in... sa madaming ways..."

sa HS kasi andaming firsts. first BF, first dance with a guy, first kiss, first time maligawan, magkacrush, magkaroon ng admirers... andami! iba din yung samahan ng barkadahan di ba? ... i think parang foundation week yun... katabi ko yung crush ko... tapos tumutunog yung sound system nun kasi may program. di ba katapat lang ng room natin ang stage nung 3rd year? tapos bulong sakin si crush... pakinggan mo yun song, eh di nakinig naman ang lola... "friend of mine" yung kanta... we were both in diff relationships nun eh... madami din siya sigurong sinabihan nun! hahaha!
